I’m writing book with Janet Evanovich: Ballantine Bantam Dell and # 1 bestselling author Janet Evanovich have extended their successful publishing partnership in a deal for 4 books in a new series she will co-author with acclaimed television and film writer Phoef Sutton. World rights for the Evanovich-Sutton novels were acquired by Gina Centrello, President and Publisher of Random House, and Libby McGuire, EVP, Publisher of Ballantine Bantam Dell from Peter Evanovich, the author’s agent.
Evanovich, who has over 75 million copies of her books sold around the globe and translated into more than 27 languages, is one of the most successful novelists of all time, with over a dozen consecutive #1 New York Times bestsellers. Her iconic series stars bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, the original Jersey girl, who is one of popular fiction’s most beloved characters. The most recent Plum adventure, TAKEDOWN TWENTY, was published onNovember 19th and was an instant #1 bestseller.
Phoef Sutton is an Emmy, Golden Globe and Peabody Award-winning writer, who has written for television (CHEERS) and has produced and created a number of television shows and consulted on others, including NEWS RADIO, BOSTON LEGAL, TERRIERS for FX, and cult hit DEFIANCE for the SyFy Channel. Sutton is also a screenwriter and script doctor (MRS. WINTERBOURNE and THE FAN, starring Robert DeNiro) and is also a published novelist of suspense fiction. He lives with his family in California.

The new still-to-be-titled series will feature Emerson Knight, a reclusive martial arts expert and eccentric savant who partners with Riley Moon, an ambitious, young financial analyst, to uncover one of the biggest crimes of the century. The first book in the series will be published as a Bantam Hardcover in 2015.
